Its autumn; the mountain starts the cold process to winter. Perfect time to go in search of the sea. Living in the French Alps, the opportunity of a kayak adventure on my home country is really exciting. Travelling light is a most, 24 hours of travelling, one train and 3 flights later I reach the Caribbean cost of Colombia. Thankfully my travel companion is my AirFusion kayak, light enough to carry it with me on the planes without extra charges.

My chosen challenge is to paddle a portion of the Caribbean coast, from the little town of Tolu to the mayor city of Cartagena de Indias, 120 kilometers to go In 5 days, I run on a tight schedule.

Jet lack and high temperatures hit me hard the first day, gradually I get my rhythm to paddle around 25 km per day to by amaze of the beautiful landscape and super friendly people I fund In this little hidden corner of the country. 5 days later I arrive to Cartagena just with enough time to pack my kayak and hurry to the airport to catch my fly to the capital where I found myself explaining the dripping water still coming out of my luggage.
